Mr. V. Jayaprakash brings over four decades of rich, multi-dimensional experience in the Indian banking sector, with deep expertise in credit administration, credit policy, high-value credit operations, restructuring, and investment advisory. He served 40 years with Canara Bank, rising to the position of Assistant General Manager (Scale V), and has consistently handled complex, large-ticket assignments across India.
He has a strong track record in credit administration, high-value credit operations, MSME lending, corporate finance, and consortium lending. Over the years, he has headed major branches handling ₹100+ crore business across Chennai, Bengaluru, and New Delhi. His administrative roles covered credit policy formulation, sanction processes, restructuring of sick units, and critical credit monitoring at Zonal and Head Office levels. Post-retirement, he served with Saraswat Bank and CreditAccess Grameen, contributing to large credit portfolios and microfinance policy frameworks.
